Hi, I’m Will!
I’m a Filipino-American percussionist, educator, and composer.
I recently completed my MM degree in Percussion Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music where I studied with some amazing musicians such as Michael Burritt, Chip Ross, Rich Thompson, Shane Shanahan, and Brian Kushmaul. Previously I attended the University of South Carolina where I studied with the awesome Dr. Scott Herring. At these two schools, I had so many wonderful opportunities including playing in the Eastman Wind Ensemble, Eastman Percussion Ensemble, Carolina Band Drumline, Palmetto Pans Steel Band, Swing-Shift Jazz Band, and more.
Currently, I am working on a lot of exciting projects including serving as the Interim Adjunct Percussion Professor at Radford University, working as the drumline instructor for the Shenandoah University Marching Band, running Wildlight Publications, playing with the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, and freelancing in Virginia.
I am a proud educational artist for Vic Firth and Zildjian.
